1.) You need:
A.) Copy of your passport
B.) Copy of Diplomas
C.) Two passport photos
D.) HIV blood test
E.) Application form from Education Ministry
(This Application form may be obtained from "Friends")
F.) Contract with "Friends"
· These things (except for the passport photos) can be handled by either post or fax.
· The best time for processing the visa application is between the months of September and June. A visa can be gotten during July and August, however, delays should be expected.
2.) In order for "Friends" to obtain permission for you to study in Mongolia under a student visa they must get permission from the Education Ministry. An invitation will then be sent to your countries' Mongolian embassy or consul.
3.) After your countries' Mongolian embassy or consul receives this invitation from the Education Ministry here in Mongolia you will be able to send your passport to the Mongolian embassy or consul in your country and obtain your student visa. With this visa you will be able to enter Mongolia. You can get the proper application, instructions and forms from your countries' Mongolian embassy or Consul.
4.) After you arrive in Mongolia, “Friends” will need to take your passport, your proof of residence, and two passport photographs to the Office in Charge of Foreign Citizen and Citizenship Issues and obtain residence permission for you and your family. This process can take up to two weeks to complete.
5.) At this point you are free to begin your studies.
· If you are coming to Mongolian under a student visa and you have a husband or wife, they cannot stay in Mongolia under your student visa. Your spouse must obtain a separate visa.
Visa processing fees in Mongolia can change from year to year so it is not possible to give a definite figure for fees. You should plan on spending from seventy-five to one hundred USD to complete all of the necessary paperwork. (Not including the application fee.)
